Shaping Cashmere

Brunello Cucinelli

Debuted alongside a live ceramics workshop in Brunello Cucinelli’s Milan boutique, designer and architect Daniel Germani’s limited edition ceramic cup referenced the bales of cashmere utilized by the Italian luxury knitwear brand. Its elegant, clean aesthetic mirrored that of Brunello Cucinelli, who only sold the vessel on site the day of the event. All proceeds from the item were donated to the Franceso Morelli Foundation.

«We are truly honored to present this special collaboration with Daniel Germani, whom we greatly respect for his great professionalism and creativity", says Carolina Cucinelli. "We immediately reflected in Daniel's work and in his way of working and approaching the great themes of tradition and craftsmanship, always interpreted in a personal and contemporary way. This collaboration is also a wonderful opportunity to create a "fil rouge" between the past and the future: we are pleased to be able to contribute with this small project to weave the first threads of the path of a young creative. We strongly believe in the circularity of knowledge and tradition, under the banner of an idea of "human sustainability" that has always guided and inspired us; and it is a real pleasure for us to have found the same motivation and inspiration in Daniel, whom I would like to thank once again on behalf of the company ".

"This collaboration with Brunello Cucinelli is a dream come true." says Daniel Germani. "I knew the bar was high once we committed to this project but once I met with Carolina I was put at ease and everything made so much sense.

Our shared passions for true craftmanship ¬and the value of education made this design so meaningful and at the same time so powerful. One limited edition cup that serves as a bridge to a better, brighter future…isn’t that wonderful?! I truly hope that everyone sees reflected these values in “Shaping Cashmere”.

Carolina, thank you for your trust and your vision. I am humbled to be a part of this incredible project."
