Plumaria, an extraordinary creation that blends craftsmanship and creativity in a unique interpretation of contemporary design. The rug is the result of a collaboration with Argentine designer and architect Daniel Germani and the Parisian plumasserie atelier Maison Février, which, since its founding in 1929, has breathed new life into an ancient tradition, combining innovation and artisanal mastery to create works that transcend the concept of accessory. Over the years, the Maison has collaborated with the most prestigious fashion houses, including Loewe, Christian Dior, Schiaparelli, Valentino, Hermès and Jean-Paul Gautier bringing its art into fashion, entertainment, design, and the arts.

The result is a bespoke rug, where Himalayan wool hand knotted by master craftsmen and the delicate beauty of the feathers come together in a perfect harmony. "The wool’s texture is soft and luxurious, offering a rich tactile experience. Its monochrome color palette is deliberately understated, allowing the colorful applications to take center stage”, says Germani. The feathers—crafted in Paris with the delicate artistry of Plumassier lead by Maxime Leroy at Atelier Février—are an integral part of the overall design. "Each feather is carefully hand-picked and meticulously applied, creating an ethereal and sculptural effect on the surface of the rug. Leaves and flowers with their soft, fluid shapes give movement into the design, evoking the feeling of wind through a forest or the quiet drift of spring blooms…it’s so dreamy” Germani adds.

Through this collaboration, Germani and Maison Février carry us to a realm where nature, artistry, and unparalleled craftsmanship unite, creating a truly extraordinary work of art that resonates with both senses and spirit.
